Recipe: Cantaloupe melon smoothie

Summer time is melon time. And then it's a good idea to start the day with a Cantaloupe melon smoothie for breakfast!

The banana provides important minerals and ensures the creamy consistency of the smoothie. Lean protein, for healthy bones and a good satiety provides the low-fat natural yogurt.

Ingredients (1 portion):

  • 1 ripe banana
  • ¼ cantaloupe melon
  • 125 ml natural yoghurt (1.5%)
  • 1 teaspoon honey (with ripe, sweet bananas it can be waived)
  • Vanilla extract (if available)

Core the cantaloupe melon and cut into cubes. Add the pieces to a blender, add banana pieces, as well as the natural yoghurt, if desired, honey and vanilla extract or vanilla flavor. Mix well until the smoothie has a creamy texture. extra tip

Smoothies taste even more refreshing when used with frozen fruits. Just put the whole unpeeled banana in the freezer the night before. Before preparing the smoothie, remove the banana from the freezer, leave for 2 minutes to peel off the peel. Then cut the bananas into pieces and put them in the blender.
